FAQ



  • MOApp – where does this name come from?
    It’s an abbreviation: myownapp.
    This is what it stands for – my own applications.
    This is how it started.
    I wanted a small program to manage my clients and I found only some kinds of monsters or ugly ports from the Windows universe.
  • Why do you craft software?
    Because it is one of the rare jobs where you can have a cat in your arm,
    wearing a pyjama in your own house and doing it all without a boss.

    – No, I really don’t have any talent for phone-sex!
  • How long may I use a trial version?
    As long as you want. All trial versions can be used for an unlimited time…
  • What kind of restrictions do the trail versions have?
    Every trail version comes with full functionality, thus can be tested in depth. They are only limited in the number of entries.
  • How do I install your programs?
    You do it like you are used to with most of the Mac programs. You download it, unarchiv the .zip file, you mount the .dmg file (if this hasn’t happen automatically) and finally you copy the program into your application folder and start it.

  • What if a program isn’t localized in my language?
    At first every program gets developed and released in English. Then I start to localize them if demanded. In case you wish to have a program localized or you might be willing to help localizing one please send me an email.
  • How do I buy a program?
    You only need to place a program (or programs) of choice in the shopping cart and start the checkout process. By this you will securely transferred to PayPal. After you completed the checkout process at PayPal I receive an email and be able to complete the payment. You get an email with all the important information. Since I complete every payment personally please allow a few hours to do so.
  • What if I don’t have a PayPal account?
    I am aware of the fact that some don’t trust PayPal and that they prefer to pay by credit card. Hence you have the option to pay by credit card. By pushing the button you will be transferred securely to FastSpring where you can do the payment. Please note that this includes additional fees and in case you live in the European Union you have to pay for whatever reason taxes. Unfortunately, I am unable to do anything about it. Therefore and because of the higher security level I prefer PayPal.
  • How do I enter the registration code?
    In every program you find the registration dialog in the Menu. In the dialog enter the email you entered during the checkout process into the email field and the registration code you got with the email into the registration code field. Please don’t type in the registration code by hand; copy and paste it into the field. Please make sure to copy the complete code and don’t include any spaces.
  • What if I didn’t receive the registration code?
    It is rarely possible that I missed to send you the code. In most cases the email with the registration code can be found in your spam folder or got filtered directly on your mail server. Some emails specified during the checkout aren’t valid.
    Anyway, in case you didn’t receive the registration code within two business days, please fill out this form and include an alternative email address. I will handle the case right away.
  • What if I lost the registration code?
    Please fill out this form. The more precise your information are, the quicker I find your registration code and return it to you. Hint: You can manage all your registration codes and serial numbers with my free program myLicenses or you can use the pro version myWallet.
  • On how many Mac may I install your program?
    You are free to install my programs on as many privately used Macs as you wish. In case you don’t wish to use a program anymore you are free to give it to someone else. In case you use your Mac professionally one license is limit to one Mac regardless how many people are using the Mac.
  • What if I found a bug?
    Give it to me! Nearly all of my programs come with a “Feedbacker” to send me direct messages. Use it to send me bugs or praise. The more information I get from you regarding a bug the better it’s fixed in the next version.
  • Where do I get help?
    The fastest way is to send me an email – either by using the Feedbacker, this form or directly to create.live.love@googlemail.com.
  • You don’t answer my email?
    It is rarely possible that I missed to send you an answer. In most cases the email can be found in your spam folder or got filtered directly on your mail server. Sometimes the email specified isn’t valid.
    Anyway, in case you didn’t receive an answer within two business days, please send me a reminder and include an alternative email address.

    To be honest (or the fine print)
    I do my very best to answer every serious email promptly without using boilerplates or verbiage. But sometimes I get emails I can’t and wouldn’t take serious, which I simply ignore. I allow myself to focus on answering the real problems.
  • Can you develop a program especially for me?
    Some of my programs are inspired by client’s wishes and sometimes I accept orders. Those I accept must come with rhyme or reason…
